Privacy Policy
PDFKing is designed with a local-first approach. Your PDF documents are processed entirely on your device whenever possible. This page describes how PDFKing handles data, a product by Lonumy.
Local-first processing
All core PDF operations — scanning, merging, splitting, signing, compressing, annotating, watermarking, cropping, redacting, and more — happen entirely on your device. Your documents are never uploaded to our servers for these operations. Files stay in your app sandbox and are not accessible to other apps unless you explicitly share them.
AI features
When you use AI-powered features (summarize, ask questions, translate, smart rename), document text is sent to our secure server over an encrypted connection for processing. This data is not stored after your session ends and is never used to train AI models. AI features are opt-in and clearly marked throughout the app.
Document conversion
File format conversions (PDF to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and vice versa) are processed through a secure cloud service. Files are encrypted in transit, processed, and immediately deleted after conversion is complete. No copies are retained.
Information PDFKing may process
PDFKing may process limited information related to app performance, subscription status, and technical diagnostics to keep the app working properly. This can include analytics events, purchase state, crash diagnostics, and device-level technical information.
Third-party services
PDFKing may rely on trusted third-party providers to support core app functions, including RevenueCat for subscription management and Mixpanel for anonymous usage analytics. These services process relevant data on behalf of PDFKing to provide their functionality.
Data sales and sharing
PDFKing does not sell your personal information or document content. Information may be shared only as needed to operate the app, provide support, process subscriptions, or comply with legal obligations.
Policy updates
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time as PDFKing evolves. Continued use of the app after changes means the updated policy will apply to future use of the service.
